First we look, then we explain, and only then do we touch the car. Book your day and time online: the schedule shows the slots that are really free and keeps the receipt for your appointment.
If you are buying or selling a used car in Maryland, the State requires a safety inspection before the vehicle can be titled and registered. Here it is done by a station licensed by the Maryland State Police: station 2761.
No promise of "no waiting" is sold here: how the schedule works is shown, and you decide.
The schedule shows the slots that are really free. Taken slots are not offered: they are not shown just to fill the page.
The inspection takes two hours and is done one at a time. If you book 10:00, 11:00 is no longer offered: that is what keeps two customers from waiting on the same bay.
The job, the car and your contact details are in before you arrive. The front desk confirms through the channel you left.
Every appointment comes with its number and can be downloaded. If something changes, that number is how you talk at the counter.
Every card says what state the service is in and where it leads. What the shop has not confirmed is said as it is, not dressed up.
Licensed station 2761 (Type A, A/M and T trailers). Monday to Friday, two hours, one at a time.
See the inspection page →The job that comes in most. A one-hour appointment, Monday to Saturday.
See the oil change page →It is checked, measured, and what will be changed is explained. The price comes from your car's estimate.
Book brakes →The code is read, the car is tested and it is explained. The diagnostic fee is confirmed by the shop.
Book diagnostics →Insides and outsides cleaned and protected, by appointment and subject to availability. It is not body or paint work.
See the detailing page →Done here if the shop has the equipment and the bay; if not, it is coordinated with a partner shop. The site does not claim it until the shop confirms.
Ask about alignment →Medrano is a mechanical shop: body and paint work is done by partner shops, and the shop coordinates it with you.
Ask about body work →Prices for jobs other than the inspection, insurer agreements, financing and written warranties are confirmed when your car is quoted: ask for them when you book and they go on your appointment.
With the online appointment, with the car at the shop, or by telling us when you arrive.
Car up on the lift, scanner if needed, and we show you what we found.
Price, time and what will be changed. You approve it or you do not. No pressure.
We keep you posted and show you the parts that were changed.
Today's address is the one published in the Maryland State Police official registry of inspection stations, station 2761.
The map is embedded with OpenStreetMap: it costs nothing, asks for no key and does not track the visitor. The shop is not at 200 North Washington Street: that is the 1939 address, history, not today's.
